Stopped Speed Boost

This can be used on Manual or Auto-Drift. When you go off the track and hit a wall, you instantly lose all speed and have to trudge through mud or dirt and you can become extremely slow, and this can be very frustrating at times. Your first instinct is to get back onto the track, But DON'T! Instead, hold the 1 button, yes I know it sounds crazy but trust me, while holding the 1 button also hold the 2 button. You will now charge a boost, even if you have Auto-Drift! Release both buttons at the same time to blast yourself out of the rut you were in! Amazing!

Avoid POW With Kart

Do you love karts, but just hate the POW Block and can't escape it? Here's the solution! All you have to do is Jump! You must have "Manual Drift" on, obviously. Then, once it is about to hit you, hop! You will only spin once.

2-4 Players Being The Same Characters

This cheat works for everybody but your Miis. Go to the character selection screen and have a player( doesn't matter which one)select his/her character. Have that player get off the character and move off the character. Repeat the process until the last player deselects that character( Don't have the last player move off of the character). Player 1 will now go back to the SOLO and TEAM RACE/BATTLE and go back to the CHARACTER SELECTION screen. All players who did the process will now be on the same character( If a player moves off the character, you will have to repeat the process). Have fun being a duplicate!!!!!!

Free Star Power On Maple Treeway

First, of course, go to the maple Treeway. Then, when you are at where the wigglers are, hit the first bush. You will then get a star instead of a banana or mushroom. This does not always happen. *Note* THIS DOES NOT WORK IN TIME TRIALS!

Same Character

You can be the same character in 2-4 player by one person picking that character, than click back and move off the character. Everyone else do the same thing. Then when everyone has done that, go back on screen and go back to pick the character again. All the players will be on one character. While playing as the same character, funny things will happens. They won't harm or change the gameplay, though.

Star Rank Requirements

The following are requirements to get a "One Star", "Two Star", or "Three Star" rank: Get a final score of 53 or better. Lead most of the laps. Stay in first place for a good period of time. Do a lot of tricks on ramps. Avoid having to use Bullet Bills to catch up. Use lots of techniques such as wheelies, avoiding POW Blocks, etc. Do not fall off edges too much (one or two times is acceptable). If you get hit by many Spiny Shells and still win, this indicates that you are resistant and will probably have a high rank.
A perfect 60 is required for a "Three Star" rank. A "Two Star" rank ranges from 55 to 60. A "One Star" rank is 53 to 60 with most or all of these requirements.

Howto Stop A

There are a coupleways to stop a a "POW" from hitting you; the first is to be in the air when it happes, a "POW" can not hit any character that is in the air, this is one of the simplist ways to stop a "POW". The second is to hit the player that used the "POW" before the timer runs out, this is the hardest way to stop a "POW". The third is to have either "Star Power", "Giant Mushroom", or "Bullet Bill" activated when the timer runs out. The last is (if you have a wheel) right before the the "POW" timer runs out jerk your controller up (as if you are a activiating a wheely with a bike. ) if you do it at the right time you should hop up and not lose any speed. You will however lose your current itme but you will if you don't do this anyways. If you use a nunchuk instead of jerking a wheel you will jerk the nunchuk piece, this should do the same as jerking the wheel, you can activate this anywhere at anytime, but be careful this can sometimes cause you to crash in areas with sharp turns.

Certain Car With Your Mii

In order to get a specific car for you Mii, it all depends on your height and definitely your thickness. If you want a car from the top two rows of characters (toad, baby mario, etc.) then you have to change your height and thickness from the Mii Channel to small. If you want a car from the middle two rows of characters (yoshi, mario, etc. ) then change your height and thickness to the middle. If you want a car from the last two rows of characters (rosalina, wario, etc) then you have to change your heigth and thickness to big and tall. But all the cars are going to be light blue and white.

DS Delfino Square Short Cut

NOTE: You will need a speed boost! On the track DS Delfino Square, right before the wooden bridge after the city area, there will be an opening on the left. On the other side of the river, there is a dock. You will need to use the speed boost to ramp onto the dock. It takes aim, but practice will help!

How to get other profile icons online:
One star: Complete all grand prix cups (including mirror) with one star ranking
Two stars: Complete all grand prix cups (including mirror) with 2 stars ranking.
Three stars: Complete all grand prix cups (including mirror) with 3 stars ranking.
Golden Wii-wheel: Have an 100% wii wheel usage rating.
Golden Wii-wheel with a star: Have an 100% wii wheel usage rating, but keep going, if you play very long with the wii wheel, you will get stars above it.

About the Star Power-Up

This is the greatest power-up for several reasons.
1. If you have a star and a shell comes after you (spiny (blue), green, or red) you can use your star right before it hits you and it doesn't effect you! (This works with the POW block also)
2. They give you a little speed boost
3. You can plow people over
4. And finally it's just totally awesome!
This Power-up is better than bullet bill!

Shortcut In GCN DK Mountain

To really surprise your foes, read this. When you come down from the mountain, make your right-hand turn where the boulders start to come down. Make a left to a huge gap in the center. This is where you surprise 'em. Stay as close to the left wall as possible. If you have your drift on Manual, drift sharply so it looks like you committed suicide, but you won't. If you just missed hitting the wooden fence( without touching it), then you should land where the item boxes are, plus saving you time, and getting away from any "bumper car" action. This also works in time trial as well.

This requires a mushroom. Where the Moo Moos gather, on the last turn to the blue ramp, you can use a mushroom to cut across the grass and saves you time by not crashing into Moo Moos. Recommended for Time trials.

Short Cut In Delfino Square

In Delfino Square, right before the stone bridge, on the left there is another path with a little jump. There will be a little bit of grass so you need a mushroom (or golden mushroom, triple mushroom, missile, anything that accelerates you). Use your mushroom or other item before the jump and you will jump to the wood bridge and you can come back up to the road from that bridge. (If you have a golden mushroom, you can maybe come back to the road from the jump.)

Starting Boost

To get the starting boost on a level, don't try timing it perfectly, it will take you forever. Instead, right when the two on the countdown starts to fade away hold down the 2 button and don't let go. You should always get the boost if you do that.

Pop A Wheelie!

To pop a wheelie do any race as long as you can use a bike. Choose your character and then choose a bike, not a cart. When you are driving on the track lay the Wii Wheel flat in your hands, then jerk it into a straight up position while pressing the A button. If you do it right you should do a Wii Wheelie!

Specialist - Rank Faster

Once you hit level 20, use the Specialist package.
Make a class, give it hardline and use the Specialist package. It not only gives you extra points at kills 1, 3, 5, and 7 but also helps you complete the perk's challenges AND the Specialist Challenges for each perk.
You are completing the perks and each perk has a Specialist perk challenge to it. For example, if at 1 kill you unlock Assassin, you are completing Assassin Challenges while also completing the Specialist Challenge entitled 'Assassin.'
This equates to a boatload of XP once you start moving through these challenges. Not to mention the 200 XP per kill at kills 1, 3, 5, and 7 every time. You will be hard pressed to find a faster way to gain XP while playing any kill heavy mode.
You get EXTRA points for kills 8, 9, 10 etc. as long as you have all the perks on and have not died so it's like double XP in on itself.

You don't have to wait for mid mission shopping to switch weapons, any time you see "check point" at the top left of the screen just quit the game, go to weapons menu and then continue from checkpoint. Since you nead the stinger at the dam and then a silenced sniper rifle at the village afterwards it's practically essential that you do.

While in training you (I usually play Rios) have a 60 round clip and Salem has 30. At some stage you're instructed to swap weapons so to avoid going to Somalia with the 30 switch to your pistol before swapping and you'll get a scorpion smg instead.

36,000cr. IN JUST 3 MINS!!!

Just like in GT5 prolouge, you can redo races for extra cash. For GT5, all you have to do is have a decent, fast car *WITH TURBO*. If your already at level 17 just go to the EXPERT SERIES and do the HIGH SPEED RING race, in the TURBO RACE OF TURBO SPORTS section. Its easy (with a fast car) and would give you a easy 36, 000Cr. In just 3 mins. But if you havent got that far in A-spec then you can just redo whatever race you can thats easy and quick. So you do the math, just 5 quick races (15 mins) will get you 180,000Cr. ! *I would use a supercar like a R8, GT-R, 360-SPIDER.

Because the Used Car Dealership inventory refreshes after each day, you can skip through days quickly to find the car you want (including the Formula GT car). To skip a day quickly, you can go to a license test, then skip the next test without actually racing in the test (as long as the screen show up between the tests). That way you can recycle the UCD's whole inventory in a few days and check for the Formula GT car.

Watch Falling Objects: Intentionally make a part of your car fall off while driving. This is done alot easier with the rally cars where the doors come of alot easier.
Rollover: Rollover a car by flipping a car totally. Done by driving on trial mountain and hitting the S curve before the starts finish line in a fast car
Honda: Take a picture of Honda at Honda head office in Tokyo on R246 track. Take a photo of any honda car driving past the building on your left hand side at the end of the pit exit.
Picture Exclusive: Take a picture of someone special as he stands in Kyoto's Gion district. There is a guy standing on the left on the bridge zoom onto his face and use Auto Focus,when he turns and looks at you take a pic and you will recieve this trophy.
Portraitist: Take a picture of a solitary lady. This is on the second photo location. There is a lady sitting on a bench with a cellphone zoom onto her face use auto focus and when you have a clear shot take the picture and you recive this trophy.

Get Out Of The Track

On the track "Cote de Azur", you can get out of the track. After the tunnel, there is a sharp turn. Instead of turning there, drift sideways into it by holding your handbrake. I did this with the gran turismo formula 1 car. I'm not sure if you can do it with another car but it worked with the formula 1 car. You can find that in the online used car lot or the regular used car lot.

Staunton Island: Ride Through Wall

In the Rockford area, directly beside the hospital is a construction site. Get a PCJ 600 and ride it to the red bar at the construction site's entrance and break it. Then, back up and then go fast as possible. Ramp up the dirt pile inside the construction site. Once you are on the first roof, jump over to the second roof while still on your bike. Then, go to the wall to your right and ride slowly into it. Note: You may need to do this more than once. If done correctly, you should fall into the wall. When you are done falling, you will be in the unfinished tunnels below. The only way to get exit is to die.

Staunton Island: Fall Through Ground

Go to the Fort Staunton area. After you do the mission where you blow up the tunnel, there will be several destroyed buildings farthest to the right of the bottom of Liberty Campus. Go the way closest to the river. Go straignt until you are able to go to the right, where you can see a cracked broken wall that you can almost jump over. If you cannot jump it, enable the "Better handling vehicles" code and press Down to jump over the wall while in a car. If you jump over the wall, you will go through the rubble and fall, eventually reappearing on top of the rubble. You will then begin to fall again. The only way to exit is to enable the "Suicide" code. While falling you can exit your vehicle (if you are used it to reach this area).

While on a motorcycle, you can jump off by pressing Y. If you are going fast enough, you can still jump off the bike while in the air. Go off a jump while you are going directly toward a wall. You can jump off and there will be no damage will be done to your health. Even if you jump out of a car and roll forward into a wall, you will not lose health. You will keep rolling but will not go anywhere.

Float In Air

On the "Slacker" mission when you go to pick up the dealer, jump into the yellow marker instead of walking into it. During the intermission sequence, Toni will float in the air as if he is falling.

After you pass the "No Son Of Mine" mission, Ma puts a "hit" on you. When a assassin tries to attack, do not run away. You can kill him easily. He should be carrying money, body armor, and a nice gun.

FBI Car

Get a five star wanted level. FBI cars will appear. As soon as you see one, enable the "Wanted level disabled" code and quickly get in an FBI before it leaves. When you are driving the FBI car, turn on the siren. All of the other cars will move out of the way. It also has good speed and handling.

Get To Other Areas Early

To reach Staunton Island early, enable the "Drive on water" code and go to the Calahan bridge. Drive off the bridge and into the water then go to the docks. Drive your car onto the docks. Make sure it is not a nice car, as you cannot take it with you. You are now on Stanton Island. This also works for Liberty City.

Car Stuck On Bridge

When you are driving on the bridge that connects Staunton Island and Shoreside Vale, you can get someone's car stuck in the bridge. To do this, wait until the bridge is up. Then, bump someone's car about half-way on the bridge with it halfway hanging over the edge. When the middle section of the bridge comes back down, that car should get stuck and have half of it sticking out of the bridge.

Drive Destroyed Car

Find an automobile with a driver in it. Press Triangle to get in the car and immediately enable the "Destroy all cars" code. If done correctly, you should be in the automobile, but it will be on fire. Enable the "Full health" code to put the fire out. You can now do things like in a normal car. If you take it to a Pay N Spray, the abutomobile will be fixed but still look burned.

Bleeding Vehicles

While using the normal shotgun, walk directly up to a Rhino. Use manual aim and fire directly into the Rhino. It will spurt blood as if it were a person. This can also be done with other cars and objects, but is best when the Rhino is the target, because it will not explode in your face. Try doing this at the airport so you do not get a wanted level. Note: The blood only spurts when you fire from certain angles; down and to the right slightly works the best, and you must be directly up against the tank and use manual aim to do it.

During this mission you must take control of Paulie Siddaco's car and kill the gang members. Enable the "Pedestrians follow you" code. After taking control of his car, he will exit. It will appear in the showroom. The second place it can be found is at Shoreside Vale. Go to the first house on the bottom row of houses in the Cedar Grove area. Look in the driveway to the garage. Shoreside Vale: M60

There is an M60 in the airport. Go to the parking lot. There should be a small opening to your left. When you go through it, there is a ramp going on top of the fire station. To your left when you are up there is a ledge going around the airport. There is a secret package and magnum. Keep going around the airport until reaching a dead end. There is a small gap between the edge and an airplane hanger. Drive of the edge onto the airplane hanger to find an M60.with 100 ammo.

Staunton Island: Smiley face "Hello Again"

Look for the place where you have to chase the "priest" to in the Church missions. It is a garage-type place. Look for the white stairs and climb up. Jump over to the roof to your right then run straight ahead. Jump off to the right of the wall. Follow this wall until you find the ramp. Once you reach the ramp, do not go up it. Keep following the wall and run to the back. Turn to the left to find the hidden location. In Grand Theft Auto 3 the sign said " You are not suppose to be here". Instead, the sign has a smiley face with "Hello Again".

Thunder-Rod

When you do the third or fourth mission for Ma Cipriani called "Grease Sucho," you must win a race. When you win, you must kill Sucho. He is in a car with flames down the side, called a Thunder-Rod. You must ram the car to get him out so that you can kill him. However, do not let the car explode. If you do, it will be impossible to complete the game later. In the "Love Media" mission, you must deliver sixteen different cars. and the Thunder-Rod is one of them. After you ram Sucho's car just enough that he gets out, kill him then take the car and put it in your garage. Go to the building next to the bridge in Portland. In one of the parking spaces is a Thunder-Rod.

Occasionally you will see a cop chasing someone down the sidewalk. If you run up to the person being chased and punch him, you will get a $50 Good Citizen Bonus. Make sure to only punch him once; if you continue and kill the person, the cop will want to fight you.

Katana

After completing the "Crazy 69" mission for Leon McAffery you will keep the ninja sword used during the mission. This is a very good weapon for your melee slot, as it will usually kill enemies in one slice. Use it for the "Avenging Angels" missions when fighting gangs to conserve ammunition for later levels. You can cut down many swarming opponents at once if you keep moving around and tapping Circle.

Winning Fist Fights

When targeting an enemy during a fist fight (or using brass knuckles), run towards them and tap Circle repeatedly. Even though you will just be running into them and may remain stationary, you will keep executing the "running" punch attack. If you keep tapping Circle, Toni will keep doing this attack rapidly and your enemy will not have a chance to strike back.

Weapon Fine Aim

Press Down while holding R. Holding L also allows for more controlled aiming (slows the movement of the sights). This works for the pistol, shotgun, assault rifle, minigun. Use fine aim to take out gang members in their cars, pop tires, or shoot down that helicopter.

Kill Anyone Without Getting Stars

Get a car (recommended) or bike then drive fast enough so that you can jump out of it and kill someone at the same time. Drive directly toward the target and jump out. This will not work if you jump out too late. You can also hit police cars by doing this and not get into trouble. You can hit gang members and they will not chase you. However, if you do this to someone the police are chasing, the officer in pursuit will aimlessly run.

Motorcycle Passenger

Use a vehicle to ram a motorcycle with two people sitting on it. Make sure you hit them hard enough so that they both fly off the bike. Then, get on the bike and shoot the driver (and not the back passenger). If done correctly, the remaining passenger will hop back on the bike and sit behind you as you drive around. It should be noted that you will not be able to bail from the bike while moving, as the back passenger blocks you from being able to jump off. To get rid of the passenger, simply get off the bike and shoot him or her.

When you get to the point where you can do missions for Ma Cipriani ("C" on the map), do not continue them until they are your only option. Completion Bonuses

Get a 100% completion by finishing all story line missions, all side jobs, all races in first place, complete all 24 unique jumps, complete the car list for Love Media, find all 100 hidden packages, and survive all 20 rampages. A tank will now appear in Fort Staunton, and speedboats can be taken in Portaland. All Multiplayer costumes will also be available in Single Player mode. Additionally, successfully complete all Rampages for the M60 to spawn at your safehouses. Note: You do not get the M60 with any of the weapon cheats.

Would you like to use your achievements in harder situations? You can during multiplayer. Every time you complete a couple of missions or unlock anything new and if you give it a while a message should pop up and the top left corner. It should say some thing like new multiplayer content unlocked. Shame other players with the stuff that you unlocked. If you see this then you know that when you play multiplayer you will be better then ever.
